Big Brother Alum Mickey Lee Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Multiple Cardiac Arrests

Mickey Lee, a contestant from Big Brother Season 27, has been hospitalized and remains in critical condition after suffering what her family describes as a “series of cardiac arrests,” according to a GoFundMe fundraiser launched on her behalf.
“Today, we’re coming together with heavy hearts to ask for your support,” wrote organizer Kori Smith. “Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition. She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging.”
Lee, who is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, currently resides in Atlanta. During her time on Big Brother earlier this year, she described herself as an event curator. As of the latest update, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $15,000 toward its $22,000 goal.
While the fundraiser did not initially specify what led to Lee’s medical emergency, a post shared on her Instagram account indicated that the cardiac arrests were the result of complications from the flu.
Support has poured in from across the Big Brother community. Several former houseguests, including Alyssa Lopez (Season 23), Joseph Abdin (Season 24), Ameerah Jones (Season 24), and Amy Bingham (Season 27), were among those who donated and shared messages of encouragement. Fans and fellow contestants have also flooded Lee’s social media with well-wishes and links to the fundraiser.
Lee emerged as a fan favorite during Season 27, making an early impact by winning the HoH Interrogation Power in Week 2 and later securing a Head of Household reign. She was evicted after 59 days in the house, finishing the season in 10th place.
Season 27 of Big Brother aired from July 10 through September 28, with Lee’s eviction occurring on September 4. The long-running CBS reality series follows a group of houseguests living under constant surveillance, with more than 100 cameras and microphones capturing their every move around the clock.
