Alicia Keys & Knicks Brought Out Silly Season In Fivio Foreign

Fivio Foreign might have looked at the New York Knicks championship parade and decided it was his turn to grab a little spotlight. Uhm, OK.
The Brooklyn drill star found himself getting roasted digitally after suggesting people were asking why he was not on stage with Alicia Keys during the Knicks‘ championship celebration. Alicia Keys made perfect sense. She’s one of New York City’s most beloved musical ambassadors. She transcends genres, boroughs and generations.
Fivio is another story. And yet, he posted a message implying that people were asking why he wasn’t performing alongside Alicia. People said “Who said that?” I sure did not.

And they did not stop there.
Fans flooded the comments with jokes, memes and enough sarcasm make somebody hide for a month. I experienced secondhand embarrassment for the first time. Here is a sample.

Fivio is a major name in New York drill. I mean, he’s got joints! He has records that resonate with a younger audience and he’s represented Brooklyn proudly. But a Knicks championship parade is a different animal.
My first thought when Alicia Keys hit the stage was actually Jay-Z, because “Empire State of Mind” is both of their record. If there was a surprise guest that might have sent the crowd into another dimension, Hov would have been at the top of the list.
Fivio did not want it. His fans did.
Who are these mysterious people? Maybe they exist. Maybe they were texting him privately. Maybe they are hiding somewhere like in the sewers. You know there are people down there.
Somehow… Fivio ended up becoming part of the Knicks parade conversation.
