Chicago’s Bloodhound Q50 Killed In Early Morning Ambush

Bloodhound Q50 is dead after being shot multiple times in his Tesla on Chicago’s South Side early Sunday morning.

Bloodhound Q50 was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Chicago, ending the life of a rising drill rapper who’d only just started making waves in the Hip-Hop world.

The 22-year-old was sitting in his Tesla’s driver’s seat around 5:58 A.M. when two cars pulled up beside him on the 4200-block of S. Wentworth Avenue in Fuller Park and opened fire.

He took shots to the chest and shoulder and died at the scene. CPD detectives are now investigating the homicide. According to video shot of the crime scene, at least 68 rounds were fired at the Tesla.

Q50, whose real name was Mikquale Cooper, started rapping in 2023 without any real plans to make it a career, but the streets took notice when he dropped tracks like “Big 3” and “Coffin.”

He built momentum fast, and by this year he was releasing albums back-to-back.

Get Back Or Die Trying dropped in August, while Hall of Fame and Bloody Storm both came out in July. His sound was gritty and street-centered, the kind of drill rap that doesn’t apologize for where it comes from.

He was just getting started.

The timing makes this hit different for people who’ve been following his story.

Back in August, rumors spread that Q50 had been shot up in St. Louis with three or four others in his crew, and the internet went crazy with speculation.

But he posted on social media and shut it down, letting everyone know he was good.

This time, the rumors are real, and there’s no comeback post coming. CPD is asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward with tips.
