Damon Dash’s Life Rights Being Offered For $37K As Trustee Invokes Casey Anthony

A trustee cites Casey Anthony’s Tampa bankruptcy case in asking a judge to sell Dame Dash’s life story for $37,000.

Damon Dash’s entire life story now carries a price tag in his ongoing bankruptcy case, and it’s just $37,000. A court-appointed trustee wants a judge to let her sell Dash’s name, image and personal story to a film company. Everlasting Films set the $37,000 as the starting bid, and anyone who wants Dash’s life rights has to beat that number first.

The trustee is leaning on a name Dash’s fans will remember for the comparison, pointing straight at Casey Anthony.

Anthony’s own bankruptcy trustee tried to sell her life story in that same Tampa courtroom back in 2013, and Dash’s case now cites it as the blueprint.

“Courts in this District have recognized that a debtor’s life-story rights constitute property of the estate that a chapter 7 trustee may market and sell for the benefit of creditors,” the filing states.

Anthony, acquitted in the death of her daughter Caylee, ended up paying $25,000 out of pocket just to keep her own story off the auction block. She avoided the auction entirely by cutting a deal, something Dash hasn’t been offered in his own case.

Any competitor must beat the $37,000 by at least $10,000, and bidding at the eventual auction would increase in $10,000 increments.

Dash filed for bankruptcy in September 2025, claiming more than $25 million in debt against barely $5,000 in assets.

Attorney Christopher Brown, who represents creditors including filmmaker Josh Webber, has pushed for months to get Dash’s life rights on the table.

Webber holds a $4 million defamation judgment against him.

The fight has already cost Dash his one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records and the rights behind Paid in Full. AllHipHop previously reported that Brown called Dash’s life rights his most valuable hidden asset months before this new offer surfaced.
