Layzie Bone Addresses Wu-Tang Clan Tour Snub & Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Issues

Layzie Bone says he agreed to every demand but still got cut from the Wu-Tang tour, reigniting decades of tension within Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Layzie Bone got left off the Wu-Tang Clan tour despite spending over three decades building Bone Thugs-N-Harmony into one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic groups.

The decision came down hard after the group’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in July, when communication between the five members completely fell apart.

He had his bags packed, merchandise ordered, and was ready to perform at what should’ve been a historic moment alongside the legendary collective.

“I spent my whole life, over 35 years of my life, building something to have a classic moment like that,” Layzie explained. “It was no call of mine for me not to be there. My bags been packed. I was told I wasn’t going.” The exclusion stung even harder because he agreed to every single requirement the group laid out for him, yet they still moved forward with just three members instead of five.

The tension between Bone Thugs members runs deep. For decades, the group has battled internal conflicts that nearly derailed their legacy multiple times.

Bizzy Bone’s struggles with substance abuse and erratic behavior created friction that forced the group to record as a trio, most notably on their 2005 internet-only EP “Bone 4 Life.”

Flesh served over eight years in prison for assault with a deadly weapon during a neighborhood dispute.

Those same divisions have resurfaced again, but this time both Layzie and Bizzy are sitting out the Wu-Tang dates while Krayzie, Wish, and Flesh-n-Bone carried the torch.

“I ordered all this merchandise, t-shirts, hats, CDs, albums. I’m coming to sign. I’m coming to do all kind of stuff,” he said. “I agreed to every stipulation. I agreed to everything Bone required of me to no avail.”

Despite the disappointment, Layzie stressed that his love for his brothers remains unconditional.

He credited himself with holding the group together through every challenge over the decades and refused to turn his back on what he helped build.

“I’ve been quiet because I don’t want to disrespect the brand or destroy the brand that I spent my whole life keeping together,” Layzie said. “It wouldn’t be no stage out there if I wasn’t in the middle trying to hold everybody together.”

He called on fans to direct their questions to the other members and promised clarity once the other members explained their reasoning.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s legacy continues to be tested by the same internal battles that have defined their entire career.
